What is Microblading? I get asked this question often. It amazes me that most people do not know it is a semi-permanent tattoo. Microblading is tattooed “Hair Strokes” using a tiny blade and pigment, administered manually by the Artist. The result is very natural-looking eyebrows.
Who Is A Good Candidate?
If you are someone who typically fills in their eyebrows, this is a beauty service you will love. It is also amazing for people who do not like their current brow shape from over tweezing, age, or they are very light or sparse. Most people want their brows as symmetrical as possible, and cannot achieve that look on their own, so Microblading would remedy that problem too!
What Can I Expect?
The first session can take up to 2 hours. This time block includes filling out necessary forms, talking with the Artist about how you would like your new brows to look, professional Eyebrow Mapping, the actual Microblading, Before/After photos, and setting up your touch-up appointment. The follow-up or touchup appointment is typically an hour, this is where the Artist looks at how you healed, how your skin accepted the pigment, and we fill in any areas that may need it. This is done 6-8 weeks after the initial session.

Brows are one of my top 3 favorite things to do. I call myself a “Browfectionist” because I was part of the era of trendy super-thin brows in the ’90s and because of it, totally jacked up my eyebrows. I was on a quest to learn how to correct them, and of course, learned how in Makeup School. I truly feel being able to professionally correct someone’s brow is one of the big things that transforms someone’s face. Brows are so important in not only framing the face, but they can give the eye a more lifted appearance, it creates the area where you then enhance the eyes and shape of the eyes. Women tell me, “I wish you could come over and draw my brows on every morning!” Now I can give that service to my clients! That being said, I am super serious about brows and decided to learn to Microblade so I could offer my clients that lasting effect!
